Organic Monitor, the UK-based research and consultancy firm for the organic food industry, has announced that its name will change to Ecovia Intelligence next month.
According to the company, the rebranding reflects the broadening range of activities handled by the company since its establishment in 2001.
Back then, Organic Monitor focused on assisting operators in the organics industry by providing business intelligence, widening its remit over the next decade to include free-from foods, health products, natural personal care products, fair trade products and ethical products.
The company has expanded its services to encompass market research, business consulting, technical research, and seminars and workshops. Over the last eight years, the organisation has hosted sustainability summits in Europe, North America, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss pressing sustainability issues.
Founder and president Amarjit Sahota commented: “Ecovia Intelligence will continue to encourage sustainable development in our specialist industries. Organic, as the most sustainable form of agriculture, is a core part of our corporate DNA and will remain a key focus.”
