For this year’s Fruit Logistica, the Interfel stand will unite Interfel, the CNIPT (the national interprofessional committee for potatoes), the CTIFL (the technical centre for fruit and vegetables), French Trade Commission Ubifrance, and marketing and promotional board Sopexa.
The aim, according to Daniel Soares, head of international marketing at Interfel, is to combine each organisation’s expertise and to save time for visitors, while increasing the visibility for each group and maximising efficiency.
The stand will feature the usual tasting area for visitors, while the theme this year will be centred on education, Soares reveals.
“We want to assert France’s presence at the fair by adopting a single identity, using the common banner ‘France Bon Appétit’,” he said. “These organisations will support the French exhibitors by offering their professional and technical expertise, as well as their know-how on markets and distribution, strenghtening the message and visibility of the French pavilion with a set of events and services taking place at the same spot.”
The stand will also offer a play area, with stories, games and schools providing the three main themes, in order to encourage visitors to relive their childhood memories throughout the show.
Trophies will be awarded for the top exporters of fruit, vegetables and potatoes, while prizes will also be presented for the best-looking stands in the hall.
Over a combined area of 3,340m2, the French pavilion is reportedly set to bring together some 175 French operators, including producers, processors and operators.
