For the next three years, French interprofessional organisation Interfel will benefit from European co-funding for communications directed at children.
The programme, which utilises the slogan 'You create, you crunch, you crack', will be conducted jointly with Italy, with the aim of boosting consumption of fruit and vegetables among young people.
It will include several actions, including TV commercials, teaching kits, dietary activities for schools and fun and educational events.
Autumn events include Interfel's presence at the KidExpo fair at the end of October, featuring culinary workshops, and a new tour of schools in a dozen French cities from 12 November until 7 December.
Two mascots has been chosen as fruit and vegetable 'ambassadors', to appear in all activities undertaken.
