The tomato category’s leading event, Fruitnet Tomato Congress, is back on 11-12 November 2025 at a new location in Malaga, close to one of Spain’s primary tomato production areas
Fruitnet’s industry-leading event for the global fresh tomato business is heading to southern Spain next year.
Fruitnet Tomato Congress returns on 11-12 November 2025 for a day of expert analysis and insight at the FYCMA (Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Malaga) followed by a second day of study tours in Almería, Andalusia’s tomato-growing heartland.
Through an insightful programme of talks and discussions, as well as an exhibition area and multiple networking opportunities, Fruitnet Tomato Congress aims to equip those in the business with the knowledge and tools to overcome today’s myriad challenges and prepare the category for the future.
Expert speakers will analyse the current state of the tomato category, provide invaluable research on consumer preferences and behaviour, and examine developments in new varieties and technologies that respond to issues including rising costs, labour availability and climate change.
Following widespread farmer protests across Europe’s major cities, we will also look at how government policies are affecting the category and what changes are needed to guarantee a truly sustainable future for the business.
Fruitnet Tomato Congress is the best place to be among tomato specialists, to learn about the future of the business and to seize new opportunities to grow.
