Former commercial director Federico Stanzani takes on lead role as consortium targets future growth
Italian fruit breeder Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti (CIV) has appointed Federico Stanzani as its new general manager.
In a statement, the group said Stanzani, who has been with the company for the past two years as its commercial director, had demonstrated “commitment, expertise, and a strategic vision for the future of the consortium”.
The change in leadership comes at a key time for the organisation, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and is aiming to strengthen its position in the nursery and fruit-growing sector by making fruit cultivation more efficient and sustainable in future.
“I am honoured to take on this new role and to further contribute to the development and innovation of CIV,” Stanzani commented. “We will work with determination to strengthen our strategies and activities, tackling future challenges with a constant focus on sustainability and innovation.”
Backed by its members Salvi Vivai, Mazzoni Vivai, and Tagliani Vivai, the consortium’s future development will focus on advanced research, sustainability, and genetic improvement.
CIV president Mauro Grossi added: “This appointment represents just the first of a series of important developments that will see the Consortium take centre stage in the coming months, confirming the company’s continuous evolution and its mission of excellence in the genetic improvement of fruit species.”
