The Chilean fruit industry has unveiled its first promotional videos for the prune and walnut industries in an effort to raise awareness of the two rapidly developing sectors.
Designed by the Chilean Prune Committee and the Chilean Walnut Committee, the three-minute long videos follow the production and processing processes and highlight the attributes of Chile as a modern day supplier of quality and food safe products.
“The objective is for viewers to get to know the virtues of Chile as a phytosanitary island, our open economy and excellent conditions for producing dried plums, all of which has allowed us to become the number one exporter in the world,” explained Andrés Rodríguez, vice-president of Prunes from Chile, in a press release.
The videos also aim to showcase Chile as a unique producer by demonstrating the importance of the fruit industry’s workforce and the workers' efforts in supporting the growth of Chile’s agriculture sector.
The Chilean fruit industry will play the videos during its trade show appearances around the world this year as well as at specialised Flavours of Chile promotional activities.
