This weekend, Belgian cooperative auction BelOrta will open up its headquarters in Sint-Katelijne-Waver to the public for the second time as part of the Voka Open Company Day.
On 6 October visitors will get the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes at BelOrta, with the company eager to bring visitors in contact with growers.
The first time BelOrta took part in the open day, back in 2014, the auction received more than 8,000 visitors.
This year, BelOrta chose the theme 'Consumers meet the growers”, with visitors provided with details of the production and healthy attributes of its extensive range of vegetables, fruit and spices.
In terms of entertainment, BelOrta revealed that it would be offering “something for everyone”, including entertainment for kids.
BelOrta will also give details of the sustainable commitments of its growers and of the company itself. Meanwhile, visitors looking for work in the area will be able to find out about vacancies from the HR stand.
