PMA Australia-New Zealand Ltd (PMA A-NZ) announced at its annual general meeting that Craig Taylor, Andrew Common and Ilango Surendran have been appointed to its board of directors.
The appointments, which are effective immediately, come after the resignation of Daniel Williams, Perry Sansom and the retirement of Felicity Turner.
The new trio brings to the board years of experience in the fresh produce industry from across the supply chain.
Craig Taylor comes as the newly appointed general manager of fresh produce of Coles, while Ilango Surendran is the Australia and New Zealand regional manager of Harvest Mark Trimble.
Representing New Zealand is Andrew Common, chief executive of Freshmax New Zealand, who joined the board earlier in the year.
Darren Keating, chief executive of PMA A-NZ, said the experience each of the new directors will bring is invaluable.
“We’re excited to welcome the new director appointments to the board of directors. It’s going to give PMA A-NZ an absolute advantage having Craig, Andrew and Ilango join, given they all have such extensive careers across the supply chain for fresh produce” said Keating.
“We already have a very talented and well-respected board of directors, who are all industry leaders in their own right, so these appointments will bolster our direction and strategy going into 2020 and beyond. We’re thankful they have joined and are looking forward to their contributions.”
