Fresh produce and floral marketers across Australia and New Zealand still have the opportunity to have their work recognised in the ninth-annual Marketer of the Year Award (MOYA).
PMA Australia-New Zealand (PMA A-NZ) and Produce Plus Magazine have confirmed the prestigious award will be presented in 2020, with the entry deadline extended by two weeks to 8 May.
With the Hort Connections trade show and conference postponed to 2021, the MOYA 2020 showcase and award presentation will now be conducted via a webinar, which will stream live in June (date to be advertised). The selected finalists will be previewed in the upcoming Winter edition of Produce Plus.
“While the spread of Covid-19 has forced the postponement or cancellation of many events, it cannot take away from all the excellent marketing work and campaigns we’ve seen across the fresh produce business in Australia and New Zealand over the past year,” said Matthew Jones, editor of Produce Plus. “There is more reason than ever to celebrate these achievements with MOYA, and we’re looking forward to judging another highly competitive set of entries.”
MOYA will continue to be judged on each marketer’s ability to develop and execute a highly visible, effective campaign.
Successful nominees will be able to succinctly explain how they created a path-to-purchase, then support their entry with validated evidence of the campaign’s reach and success in converting the target audience into customers.
The award is open to any individual or team, with nominees sought from all parts of the value chain.
Self-nominations and nominations by third parties are welcome and must be received by 8 May 2020.
