The International Fresh Produce Association will hold its first Fresh Connect networking eventin Sydney on 22 March.
The new association was formed through the merger of Produce Marketing Association, including PMA A-NZ, and United Fresh Produce Association.
The Sydney networker will be held at Beer Deluxe, King St Wharf, from 5.30pm.
Existing and perspective association members are invited to attend.
“This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded members of the fresh produce industry from a different part of the supply chain or catch up with your interstate connections,” said Darren Keating, CEO A-NZ of the International Fresh Produce Association.
Webinar series
The association has also unveiled a full calendar of webinars.
Starting 30 March, IFPA A-NZ’shead of food safety, Deon Mahoney, will host a series of three webinars looking at fresh produce inputs, regulatory requirements and food safety challenges.
Meanwhile, Soto Group co-founder Matthew Crouch will run a series of ‘Marketing Myth Busting’ webinars, starting 22 March. The webinars will focus on market research, stakeholder engagement and blending domestic and overseas marketing campaigns.
Hort Connections speakers
IFPA and its partner Ausveg have revealed the first speakers for Hort Connections 2022.
Meteorologist and television weather presenter Jane Bunn, entrepreneur and co-founder of Vinomofo Justin Dry, and Fair Farms programme manager Sachin Ayachit will speak as part of the conference programme.
Hort Connections 2022 takes place from 6-8 June at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
