Crunch, juice and external appearance are making for one of the best ever Kanzi apple seasons in terms of quality, according to Australian growers.
The Kanzi apple is marketed as fresh off the tree, available at independent green grocers and major supermarkets from late March until mid-June.
N&A Group’s Rob Cathels, based in Batlow, New South Wales, said this season will see more high quality fruit available as more trees coming into full production.
Over in Western Australia, Nicole Giblett of Manjimup-based Newton Orchards, says this year’s marketing programme is focused on retail activities and social media promomotions as well as mass marketing events.
This year’s marketing programme includes a social media push, with bloggers and influencers, as well as food and lifestyle publications, being involved in Kanzi public relations activities. Retail support is also being provided, with handling information, in-store radio promotions and merchandising.
