VIP Val Venosta Alpine Ski World Cup

VI.P, the Association of Val Venosta Fresh Produce Cooperatives, is to sponsor the upcoming Alpine Ski World Cup in Alta Badia, in the Italy province of South Tyrol.

The event, which takes place on Sunday 18 and Monday 19 December, is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year and includes the legendary Gran Risa piste, the venue for the first ever World Cup event in 1985.

Val Venosta apples will be among a number of typical South Tyrolean products on offer in the adjacent hospitality area, known as the Casa Südtirol.

According to VI.P market director Michael Grasser, sponsoring the Alpine Ski World Cup represents an excellent opportunity to connect the healthy image of an outdoor pursuit like skiing to the region;s high-quality fresh apples.

'Val Venosta apples are supporting sporting events and will promote a correct lifestyle based around healthy living,' he commented.

'They're also indispensable for anyone who takes part in sporting activity, either to prepare the boy for physical exertion without putting on weight, or to rebalance levels of vitamins and mineral salts lost following competitive sports.'
