AJ Trucco is expanding its premium TruStar brand with the addition of fresh limes.
“With branded produce becoming increasingly more important in store, we feel the addition of limes to our TruStar brand is a natural complement to our current TruStar offering,” said CEO Nick Pacia.
The limes will initially be sourced from Veracruz, Mexico and will be available in a 10lb box and retail packs featuring the recognisable TruStar logo.
“We are pleased to offer this programme year-round and know that the extension of our brand will translate to strong sales in-store,” Pacia continued.
Founded in 1937 in New York, Trucco imports a wide variety of branded and unbranded produce from around the world.
While Italian Chestnuts were the staple of the company for decades, it has since expanded its offer to include an assortment of products such as kiwifruit, garlic, fresh figs, citrus, as well as dried fruits and nuts.
