Tosca said the award reflects its commitment to continuous improvement in its sustainability strategy, placing it in the top 5 per cent of organisations assessed in the past 12 months.

It recognises Tosca’s outstanding performance in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The company said it reflects the quality of its sustainability management system and demonstrates a commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain.

“Winning the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second year running is a strong validation of the consistency and maturity of our sustainability strategy,” said Karin Witton, Tosca’s global director of sustainability.

“I couldn’t be more delighted with this recognition of what we have achieved through the sustained dedication and hard work of our team. Our long-term approach is delivering continuous improvement and our commitment to creating a more sustainable future for all is stronger than ever.”

Over the past year, Tosca has taken action in various areas to strengthen its sustainability performance. These include a stronger focus on sustainable procurement, the environment and diversity and inclusion, as well as the introduction of a new data management and reporting system to improve data collation and facilitate the identification of trends.

Guided by its 2030 sustainability strategy, Tosca said it continues to make structured, measurable improvements year over year. Procurement was a key area of focus in the past year, with the company introducing a more structured approach for evaluating new suppliers and streamlining the onboarding and management process. In parallel, there was a strong focus on workforce development, creating opportunities for growth across the company.

Laurent Le Mercier, Tosca’s EMEA president, commented: “Our sustainability journey is driven through our 2030 Sustainability Strategy, which provides the direction and helps us build improvements year on year, and we are excited to see the benefits to our customers, our communities, our company and its team members as we implement those changes”.
