Israeli exporter Agrexco will this week export its first shipments of the Super Sweet variety of sweetcorn, which is available in both organic and conventional.
Product manager Tidhar Jackson said that exports would start on 20 April and continue until the end of June.
He said that the product's defining characteristic was 'its unique taste and the freshness felt with every bite'.
The product is grown along the Syrian-African rift until the Beit She'an Valley in the north.
According to the company, this area provides optimal conditions for high quality and a constant supply.
The product will be exported to almost every European country, Agrexco stated, with the UK, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries leading the way.
