Jingold kiwifruit green gold yellow

Sales of Jingold-branded kiwifruit are continuing to increase in major international markets, buoyed by counter-seasonal supply from the Southern Hemisphere, which is allowing the brand to be present in those markets for 12 months of the year, according to its marketers.

With all of this season’s Italian Jingold now more or less sold, the company said the campaign had been a positive one, with producers receiving around €1.76 per kg for their class one fruit and up to €2.00/kg for the most common sizes.

“Satisfied clients and consumers on the one hand, excellent returns on the other: this remains Jingold’s primary objective,” commented Patrizio Neri, the organisation’s president.

He added: “Jingold is an example of how, with a top quality, well managed product, you can generate value along the supply chain and allow producers to see their own efforts repaid, while enabling the company to re-invest in innovation, with new varieties but also agronomic and handling techniques that are always cutting edge.”
