The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has launched new Spanish-language podcasts to help spread the message of its Be Food Safe campaign to the Hispanic community.
The Food Safety at Home series is designed to help Spanish speakers understand the basic steps of the campaign: clean, separate, cook and chill, according to Food Navigator USA.
'These podcasts are part of an FSIS initiative to to educate Spanish-speaking consumers on safe food handling practices and the risks associated with foodborne illness,' said Al Amanza, administrator at FSIS.
Podcasts will feature public health experts discussing topics aiding consumers in keeping food safe.
