Slovenia's largest food retailer Mercator has this week announced that it enjoyed a stronger first-half of 2010, with growth in year-on-year profit and revenues.
The group said that net profit for the first six months of the year increased to €17.7m compared with €11.3m in 2009, Reuters reported.
For the same period, Mercator's revenues climbed 3.2 per cent to €1.34bn.
As a result, the retailer revised upwards its profit expectations for the year to €30.2m from its initial expectation of €21.9m, with revenue forecasts pushed up to €2.78bn from €2.75bn.
