Spanish fresh produce exporter-marketer Serrano Moltó has announced that it is aiming to expand its pool of fruit and vegetable suppliers with the opening of a new branch in Lleida, Catalonia, a key stonefruit and topfruit production zone.
The Valencia-based company said the Lleida office had been set up with the goal of developing its strategy of expanding its market position in Spanish production areas and approaching producers to work together.
Serrano Moltó said as well as Catalonia, the branch would cover the regions of Aragón, Rioja, Navarra and Spain’s Atlantic coast, focusing on stonefruit (peaches, nectarines, flat peaches, plums, apricots and cherries) and topfruit, along with other products from the regions.
The new site adds to the company’s head office and packhouse for potatoes, onions and vegetables - both based in Valencia region – and a berries department located in Moguer, Huelva.
