Seald Sweet has launched a new brand for its easy peeler sweet mandarins as part of its expanding summer citrus programme. The new packs show colourful, child friendly graphics showing a girl named Mandarina, the namesake of the company’s new mandarin variety, Mandarina’s.
Over the last decade, the company has been working will a well-established network of growers who have invested in new plantings of these proprietary mandarin varieties.
“The varieties, which are specifically selected to be packed in the Mandarina’s brand packaging are the best of the mandarin category,” said Mayda Sotomayor, Seald Sweet’s CEO. “It is our commitment to retailers and consumers that only the best, juiciest and sweetest varieties are packed in this brand. We consider Mandarina’s to be the crème-de-la-crème of easy peelers.”
Mandarina’s are available from August to October as part of Seald Sweet’s summer citrus programme from the Southern Hemisphere, which also includes conventional clementines available from June to August, Navels, Minneola Tangelos and Cara Cara red oranges.
