At Fruit Logistica last week, French producer Prim'land focused on the newly obtained Saveur de l'Année 2010 status of its Sabline-branded carrots.
Each year in France, a variety of products are handed the Saveur de l'Année distinction for responding to consumers' expectations regarding taste.
The taste tests are conducted by 18 laboratories and more than 10,000 consumers throughout France.
According to Prim'land, the Sabline carrot was evaluated by a minimum of 120 consumers, with not one being aware of the name or brand of the product.
