Club apple group the Rubens Consortium has elected a new president and vice-president following elections in July.
StefanMoje of German apple producer Elbe-Obst will head up the group, with Andy Sadler, managing director of UK-based supplier-importer Norman Collett, taking the reins as vice-president.
Kent-based company Norman Collett currently holds the exclusive marketing and production rights for Rubens in the UK.
Commenting on his appointment, Sadler said he was delighted to become the consortium's new vice-president.
'This is a great honour,' he said. 'I am delighted to be appointed and feel that it is in part a recognition of the market development we have achieved in the UK for this excellent variety.'
He added: 'It will be an exciting challenge to have greater input into the marketing strategies for Europe as a whole.'
