Vegetable breeding company Rijk Zwaan once again heads up the Hillenraad 100, a list of the 100 leading Dutch companies in the country's glasshouse horticulture industry.
The group held on to the top position after the Hillenraad committee of experts recognised the fact that the group had continued to operate well despite the difficult economic climate.
'We are very proud of this, in particular also because our human approach towards our employees and those outside of the company is appreciated for the second time,' said group director Marco van Leeuwen, referring also to the Best Employer award the group recently picked up.
'Both number one places are a huge sign of appreciation and strengthen the good commercial and social positioning of Rijk Zwaan,' he added.
