Certification board GlobalGAP has announced the election of Guido Siebenmorgen to the GlobalGAP Board for the 2013-2017 term.
On being elected to the board, Siebenmorgen said that he wished to promote the continued development of ecological and social sustainability in the supply chain based on established and known standards.
“I plan to be an advocate for the entire cause by including the concerns of all parties involved and by avoiding any individual, isolated approaches,' he said. 'I am confident that my longtime practical experience, particularly in the supply chains for fruit & vegetables as well as meat, will be a valuable asset to the board.'
Siebenmorgen has been working for Rewe Group since 1985, and is currently the senior manager for sustainability.
