Rewe Group is in negotiations with Italian retailer Conad to sell off large sections of its Billa supermarket chain in Italy, according to reports in Germany.
Lebensmittel Zeitung revealed that negotiations were underway to sell parts of Billa, which recorded a loss in sales of 6 per cent last year.
Besides Conad, the publication noted that Coop Italia is also interested in the Billa network, which currently boasts 190 stores in the country, according to Planet Retail.
