Reusable packaging solutions expert Ifco has announced the extension of a cooperation agreement with German retailer Rewe
Within the scope of the agreement, Ifco will provide Rewe supermarkets and Penny discount stores with a black version of the
Lift Lock RPC - the first time this has been utilised on the European market.
“The Rewe Group is a strategic partner for us, with whom we are cooperating on a long term basis in order to improve business operations and provide the desired RPC concepts and service models,“ said Wolfgang Orgeldinger, CEO of Ifco Systems.
“At IFCO, everything is about fulfilling the requirements of our customers and the objective of jointly developing the best possible solutions”.
'Constant innovation capacity, comprehensive services and Ifco’s high level of commitment were among the main reasons for the decision to extend the contract,“ said Eugenio Guidoccio, head of strategic purchasing fruit and vegetables, Rewe Group.
With the introduction of the Black Lift Lock RPC, Rewe will receive an 'optimal standard packaging system' for fruit and vegetables, Ifco noted.
