The United Fresh Produce Association Foundation has announced there are 115 nominees for this year's Excellence in Foodservice Awards, which will be held in New Orleans from 2-5 May.
The awards are designed to mark the important role chefs play in encouraging fruit and vegetable consumption.
In its fourth year, the program includes a new category for K-12 school foodservice, which covers those working in primary and secondary education and brings the total number of awards to six.
Victoria Backer, United Fresh's senior vice-president of member services, commented: 'The efforts made by these men and women everyday to bring innovative menu items to diners' plates will help positively shape the way our nation eats.'
The winners will be selected by a committee of foodservice and produce industry leaders.
