Ready Pac, the US market leader in single-served packaged salads, has launched a low-cost product.
Ready Pac Salad Singles will retail at US$2.99 (€2.09) a unit and are designed for consumers who are now having to watch their spending more closely.
Tristan Kieva, Ready Pac's director of marketing, said: 'We are very sensitive to the consumer need for value during these economic times, but it also challenges us to help deliver solutions that are not at the expense of quality or convenience.'
Salad Singles come in four different varieties, each of which contains fewer than 200 calories, and the line was recently named a finalist for the United Fresh Produce Association's 2011 Best New Vegetable Product award.
