French vegetable producer Prince de Bretagne has unveiled a new image to appear on all its advertising and packaging. The image was designed as a return to the company’s roots, emphasising the terroir of Brittany, the range on offer and the unity of the company’s producers.
“We wanted to highlight our terroir through its special landscape, where the land meets the sea,” explains marketing director Emmanuel Descloux. “Furthermore, it promotes and signifies the fact that a product marked ‘Prince de Bretagne’ does indeed come from Brittany.”
The new image shows a field by the sea. In the background, ships can be spotted in the sea, and a cavalier – the Brittany prince – on the field. In the foreground is a sword embedded in the earth alongside the Prince de Bretagne range.
“The slogan highlights really important themes for us: our passion for the professions that the brand brings together: researchers, producers, wholesalers and shippers, and our desire to defend fresh vegetables,” continues Mr Descloux. “We are proud of what we do and it is a collective commitment shared with, and for, our clients and consumers.
“The sword is a powerful graphic sign. It is a strong image that strengthens and encapsulates the other elements: it is the prince’s sword, a symbol of a strong desire to defend our terroir, a positive sign of commitment.”
