Brittany-based marketer Prince de Bretagne has elected to publish its first sustainable development report in order to show the progress it has made over the past 20 years.
The report illustrates the French marketer's development with regard to economic, social and environmental performance.
Prince de Bretagne's producers number 2,350, with a production volume of some 500,000 tonnes of vegetables, the report states.
In terms of its social commitments, the report highlights the marketer's role as a creator of jobs and provider of training.
As for the environment, it details the producers' commitment to following and sharing good agricultural practices, whether they be organic or conventional growers.
Prince de Bretagne's role as the number one producer of organic vegetables in France and its efforts to encourage organic production and advance towards a more responsible approach to agriculture is also highlighted.
