In the US, the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) has unveiled a new mobile phone application for the upcoming 2010 Fresh Summit International Convention and Exposition, which takes place on 15-18 October in Orlando, Florida.
The free-to-download 'app' includes meeting and event information such as schedules, exhibitor listings by booth number and company name, hotel information, transportation schedules and local area resources, while also providing access to social networks.
'With an event as varied and dynamic as Fresh Summit, new details are becoming available all the time,' said PMA public relations director Julia Stewart. 'The new Fresh Summit app allows our attendees and exhibitors to always have the very latest information literally at hand, delivered in a very sustainable way.'
The free application is available for Google Android, RIM Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Apple iPhone, with download instructions available at www.pma.com/freshsummitmobile
