In Spain, the Navarre Chamber of Commerce and Industry has named Planasa as the winner of the 2012 Export Award at its annual prize-giving ceremony.
The seventeenth edition of the awards took place in Pamplona in December, recognising several companies for their work in the region.
Planasa commercial director Ivan Leach picked up the award, thanking the organisers on behalf of the company and noted: 'The export business today is about more than just selling in other countries, it's about being there and implementing our business model.'
The group is set to continue its global expansion this year and beyond, he added, despite the economic difficulties in Spain.
Planasa sells in more than 52 countries worldwide through its extensive network of partners, and boasts subsidiaries in France, Italy, Poland, Chile, Mexico and the US.
