Apple marketer Pink Lady is teaming up with Hollywood film studio Warner Bros to promote apples alongside Valentine's Day, a major new film due for release in cinemas across Europe this February.
From 15 January until 28 February 2010, Pink Lady will invite consumers in key markets including Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and Spain to take part in a special competition for the chance to win a trip to Los Angeles, as well as DVDs from the Warner Bros collection and many other Pink Lady-branded prizes.
The promotional potential of a film which portrays the intertwining destinies of men and women looking for love is seen by Pink Lady's marketers as an excellent tie-in for the brand.
'This expectional partnership turns Pink Lady's Valentine's Day promotion into an event, whilst capitalising on the brand's fundamental values,' said a spokesperson.
Valentine's Day is directed by Garry Marshall, noted for his work on Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride, and stars a number of Hollywood icons including Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher, Patrick Dempsey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel.
