Pink Lady photography

Apple brand Pink Lady this week hosted a food photography day for patients at children's hospital Great Ormond Street in London.

One of the UK's top photographers, Maja Smend, was reportedly on hand to teach the children at the hospital's onsite school how to take food photographs, with Pink Lady donating bright pink digital cameras to the charity.

Each of the photographs taken is eligible for entry into the Young Food Photographer of the Year category at the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition, Pink Lady Europe announced in a press release.

Another category has been dubbed 'Apple a Day', featuring the most creative, inventive and beautiful immages of apples, and is dedicated to raising money for the hospital's children's charity.

All entries are set to be judged by an expert panel in March next year.
