European apple brand Pink Lady has created a new offering exclusively for children, under the name PinKids.
The range consists of packs of small apples that boast the same taste, texture and quality controls as the larger Pink Lady apples, Pink Lady Europe announced in a press release.
A PinKids theme has been created that is designed to appeal to children aged between 4 and 8, including a mascot couple selected by children.
According to Pink Lady Europe, PinKids will join forces with Disney for the next three years in order to promote the new brand, with Mickey and Minnie Mouse featuring prominently.
The campaign will include a website dedicated to the brand, in addition to sales operatons and events across Europe 'to charm children and parents alike'.
The range, available in prepacked trays of four, six and eight apples, as well as bags of eight, is set to be launched in early January 2012.
