Peruvian Hass avocados will be promoted to consumers and buyers on the European market this summer in an effort to drive sales during the South American country’s season.
The campaign will run in the UK, France and Germany between June and September, the Peruvian Hass Avocado Producers’ Association (ProHass) told Fruitnet.
Activities will focus on promoting the versatility and health benefits of avocados as well as Peru as the first choice for supplies during the European summer.
Major retailers in all three countries have signed up to support the initiative, with a raft of in-store activities planned including tasting opportunities, cross-category product promotion, and coupons to encourage purchasing.
