A new partnership in the US between non-profit entity Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) and Schoolmenu.com aims to offer a variety of nutrition information, tips, recipes and children's activities that promote the consumption of fruit and vegetables.

Schoolmenu.com works with school districts across the country to post their menus on its website, including the nutritional content of the food that is served to elementary, middle and high school students.

'Schoolmenu.com, and the information offered to schools, parents and students, is a perfect fit for Fruit & Veggies-More Matters and its mission to increase fruit and vegetable consumption,' said Elizabeth Pivonka, president and CEO of PBH. 'We are very excited to be working together and look forward to the debut of the updated website in August, just in time for the start of the new school year.'

Work is now underway on an updated website, to be launched in the autumn, featuring a new look, improved user-friendly navigation. and lots of fruit and vegetable nutrition information provided by the PBH.

It will also feature a fruit and vegetable of the month, a kids section, as well as a health and fitness section containing information from national institutions and experts.
