This year's Macfrut exhibition and convention will see the introduction of a new set of awards that recognise innovation and distinction in the fresh produce industry, named 'Oscar Macfrut'.
The awards will cover four different categories, with products launched onto the market no earlier than 1 January 2009 qualifying for consideration.
Categories include Machines and Technology for Sorting and Packaging, Packaging and Packaging Materials, Seeds and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Products, and Logistics and Services.
The event takes place in Cesena, Italy on 6-8 October this year.
