Macfrut, the leading exhibition event for the Mediterranean fruit and vegetable supply chain, has announced that it will once again host the Macfrut Oscar awards, rewarding the most innovative products and services in the sector.
Taking place on 5-7 October 2011 at the Cesena Fiera exhibition centre, the Oscar awards is aimed at new technologies developed for the fruit and vegetable sector that have been recently launched on the market.
The competition displays products at the cutting edge and state-of-the-art services offered by companies, operators and large-scale retailers, with one main prize for the overall best-in-show and four category winners in grading and packing machines and technologies, packaging and packaging materials, seeds and fresh products, and logistics and services.
The winners of the four technical categories will be awarded on the basis of preferences expressed by both visitors and exhibitors at Macfrut.
