Italian company GF Group will promote its F.lli Orsero brand for the first time at Fruit Attraction, the fresh produce industry exhibition which takes place in Madrid, Spain, on 24-26 October.
The brand, which is used to market bananas and pineapples sourced, distributed and marketed by the Orsero family-owned company, will form the centrepiece of a stand that also features a specially commissioned film by director Luca Lucini showing the fruit as it travels from Central America to Europe.
Launched last year in Italy and Spain, the F.lli Orsero brand is used solely on extra premium-quality fruit, sales of which have proved strong in the Iberian market, according to the group.
"Fruit Attraction is also the right occasion to meet our clients and reinforce the synergies created this year," commented Alessandro Canalella, managing director of Simba, the division of GF Group responsible for marketing the brand.
With new packaging on display, F.lli Orsero's appearance at Fruit Attraction underlines the importance of the Iberian market to the brand's commercial development.
"As we have done in the first semester of 2012, this autumn and through the course of 2013 we shall continue investing in Spain, one of our main reference markets," Canalella added.
"These investments will be made in both communication and marketing activities aimed at the general public and in specific actions directed to the trade."
