This year’s Organic Fortnight, which will be held in the UK on 5-20 September, will, according to the Soil Association, focus on the value offered by organic products, both economically and environmentally.
“As thrifty shoppers look to make every pound go further, the benefits of going organic on a budget stretch far beyond great-tasting, additive-free food and drink,” the Association said.
According to the Soil Association, organics remain the first choice for consumers who demand products that not only taste and look good, but are also environmentally friendly, ethical and healthy.
To convince consumers that organics really do offer genuinely good value during the current recession, the Soil Association has produced a list of 10 ways to go organic on a budget.
