The Ontario Produce Marketing Association (OPMA) will this week unveil a new Produce Made Simple promotional drive for the Canadian market.
The association is partnering with celebrity chef Kary Osmond, former host of the Best Recipes Ever cooking show on CBC television, OPMA president Ian MacKenzie told Americafruit.
The campaign’s back-to-basics approach aims to provide easy to understand information through a blog-style website, how-to videos and social media on how to pick, stores and prepare fruits and vegetables.
“With Kary’s large fan base and love for all things healthy, she is a perfect spokesperson for this initiative,” MacKenzie explained.
The initiative will be launched this week at the CPMA 2013 trade show in Toronto, Canada.
Osmond will be present at the exhibition to sample recipes from the Produce Made Simple campaign as well as share her produce tips and techniques with attendees.
