In the US, National Restaurant Association president and CEO Dawn Sweeney has been acknowledged for herwork in helping with the foodservice industry's nutrition initiatives.
According to The Packer, Sweeney received the award during an awards gala on 6 December at the Discovery Channel Worldwide headquarters in Silver Spring.
Under Sweeney’s leadership, the association launched the Kids LiveWell initiative in 2011, promoting healthy meals for children and focusing on growing fruit and vegetable consumption.
