Dutch vegetable seed company Rijk Zwaan has announced that its online Love my Salad initiative has increased in popularity since March, and has now generated 100,000 'likes' on Facebook.
Love my Salad, which involves Rijk Zwaan employees across the globe and aims to bring people together over their love of salads and vegetables, hit the 50,000 'like' mark back in March this year.
Making optimum use of social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the campaign features blogs, news, recipes and preparation tips, bringing together industry members and consumers and encouraging dialogue between them.
'Love my salad brings together vegetable lovers from all over the world to share their passion for salads and vegetables,' noted Silvia Cicioni, Love my Salad coordinator at Rijk Zwaan.
