Foods from Spain has unveiled a raft of in-store and media activities as part of the 2008 UK-focused promotional campaign for Spanish fresh fruit and vegetables which could shortly include additional fresh produce items.

The drive, now in its fourth year, will feature in-store advertising, on-pack promotions, recipe leaflets as well as public relations activities in the trade and consumer press for Spanish fruits such as Picota cherries, plums, cherimoya, persimmon, strawberries and raspberries.

'Our campaign has become stronger every year since it was launched,' said Foods from Spain director María José Sevilla. 'We are now encouraging other Spanish associations for items such as avocados, speciality salads, pomegranates and loquats to join the initiative.'

Foods from Spain has also launched the 2008 National Primary Schools Competition to encourage children to create a collage which represents healthy eating with fresh produce from Spain.
