Belgian auction Veiling Hoogstraten’s new logo was the main focus of its presence at Fruit Logistica this year, along with its new marketing campaign.
The new logo now features a strawberry graphic, the former logo’s use of an actual photo of a strawberry making good quality replication unreliable, according to marketing manager Jan Engelen.
The auction's new marketing campaign is based on the fact that around 65 per cent of Hoogstraten’s strawberries are exported.
“Lots of different nationalities therefore eat our strawberries,” he said, “so we did some street casting in Antwerp and chose nine faces to appear on our new poster campaign.
'We are also developing our presence on Facebook and Twitter, and we now have a QR code on our communication materials, enabling consumers to search for recipes and other relevant information.”
