Dutch importer Nature's Pride has moved into its new premises in Maasdijk, near Rotterdam, marking the start of a new era in the company's impressive development.
The 37,000m2 facility, which took a total of nine months to build, will provide Nature's Pride with room to expand its ripening, packing and storage operations and to satisfy growing demand in particular for ready-to-eat exotics such as avocados and mangoes.
The building has been designed with a focus on maximising efficiency, and is expected to be energy neutral, have a low carbon footprint and ultimately be one of the most sustainable buildings in western Europe.
