FMG, the operating company at Munich Airport in Germany, has released its inaugural sustainability report pinpointing the group's concept for a sustainable business policy.
Entitled 'Perspectives', the 110-page report highlights the airport's efforts to balance ecological, economic and social objectives, outlining demanding objectives for climate protection and the environment.
'In all three areas the decisive standard is to gear our corporate policy towards maintaining and strengthening the foundations of our business activities in the long term so we can continue to operate successfully in the years ahead in the interests of ensuring Bavaria's future mobility as well as retaining its competitiveness as a business location.'
As part of the report, FMG outlined a number of ambitious targets including the achievement of CO2-neutral growth in its operations by 2020, through a number of energy saving measures including sustainable construction and boosting airline partners' energy efficiency.
