Trademarked club apple variety Modì is launching a new campaign in the run-up to Christmas in support of an Amnesty International project aimed at defending the rights of women in the Middle East and North Africa.
"In these regions, many women struggle on a daily basis for change, standing up to repressive regimes by promoting reform and equality," says a spokesperson for Modì. "We have chosen to help Amnesty and lend our support."
In order to share this gesture of solidarity with consumers of Modì apples, the group has invited members of the general public in its home country Italy to visit a special website as well as its Facebook page in order to personalise, print and send colourful electronic greetings cards to express best wishes for the festive season.
"It is a symbolic and concrete gesture that brings together all fans of Modì and Amnesty International for a better Christmas."
