Port of Hamburg Marketing has announced that it has been recognised for its marketing strategy by the Global Institute of Logistics.
The Institute aims to provide a global network for the optimisation of the worldwide maritime logistics chain, concentrating on data exchange between international ports.
At Intermodal Europe 2011 in Hamburg, the Global Benchmark in Port Marketing certificate was handed to CEO Claudia Roller, recognising exemplary working practices that can be adopted by other across the world.
In addition to the Marketing Authority, other Port of Hamburg representatives picked up awards at Intermodal, including the Hamburg Port Authority for developing Hamburg's railway system, and Hamburger Hafen und Logistik, which picked up the Global Benchmark in Container Terminal Quality Assurance.
